I suppose in your world, social conservatism’s governmental goal is to ostracize, exclude, and inter people who have had abortion or are gay. The FEDERAL government’s job is to stay out of these issues and allow states to handle them. Too many people want the US President to be the church pastor and spiritual leader, enforcing their morality with the force of law. I want the Feds out of it. The state of Georgia can handle their morals just fine thanks.

Others who support federalism are our friends, regardless of sexual orientation.

You don't have a clue what federalism is, then again liberaltarians never do.

Under your theory, a state would be permitted to legalize murder, rape or even terrorism and there is nothing the federal government can do.

Are you aware that ALL of the Founding Fathers believed that abortion was murder and as such was a capital offense?

They also all believed that sodomy was a serious crime and in some cases warranted the death penalty.

I guess the Founding Fathers weren't as "enlightened" as moral relativists like you.

Your brand of "federalism" is DESTROYING the United States. You ARE NOT a conservative and you have no business being on a conservative forum. Begone troll!

Thank you wagglebee. I am about tired of being told that we are going to just have to sit back and accept it.

It is unbelievable to me that we even have to have this discussion. If the gay agenda was so “acceptable” they wouldn’t have to use government force and indoctrination to cram it upon us.

A person’s right to life is not a federalist issue either. It is a human right. You see, the leftists know that it is a human right and that is why they used the power of the Federal government to force the issue of taking away the right to life.

The GOP has totally failed on these issues. They justify doing nothing by evoking Federalism.

I am amazed at how the democrats consider social issues as being top on the list. That is why we are in the mess we are in. Being on the dark side of social issues has been fruitful for them.

Waggles, I appreciate your response. I have yet to witness a state pass a gay marriage (pro) amendment. What i have seen is federal judges enjoin these anti gay marriage amendments that have passed. That is precisely what I’m talking about, the Feds are interfering in our ability of have moral codes that match our populace. Get em the hell out of it.

Abortion prior to roe existed. But states could ban it and some states had. Now no state can have it banned. Governmental power is always moving and in flux. The last 40 and even 80 years, power has moved to the federal govt. What has that gotten us? Less moral, more secular progressive society.

We need power moved back to the states. It’s easier to get the social
moral fabric we want that way.

“They also all believed that sodomy was a serious crime and in some cases warranted the death penalty.”

Where does this fall under the protection of life liberty and property?
