We have to stop excusing these kind of misstatements and then maybe we should consider using the term The Chicago Way and changing it to The Connecticut Way. Progress.
The bigger story here is the threat. After all it comes just one day after staff members from Connecticuts new Democrat Governor admitted to making public, private license plate information on outgoing Republican Governor Jodi Rell. But I digress.
Senator I served in Vietnam Blumenthal holds his first press conference as a Senator (that didnt take long) to vow he would fight against HR 3, which would prohibit federal funding of abortion.

Maybe Blumenthal is like a real life Billy Pilgrim, and is unstuck in time, having no control over the flow of his own time/space continuum.
You know, one minute, he’s clerking for Harry Blackmun in 1972, then it’s 1974, then he’s serving in the Army in Vietnam, then suddenly it’s West Germnay..
...then he’s a Doughboy in France in 1917 for a few weeks, or something, and then, through no fault of his own, he finds he’s a lousy democrat senator from Connecticut.
If only the Tralfamadorans would permanently lock him up in a zoo on their home planet we’d ALL be better off.
Blumenthal tried to use Spitzer’s (some say the “Chicago Way”) approach to bullying with litigation and intimidation to supposedly clean up the state when he was AG of CT. Look at what happened to Spitzer. It didn’t work in CT and it won’t work in the Senate. Threatening reporters will also not work in Washington, although as a Dem he will get away with it to some extent as it won’t be reported.
That excerpt didn’t make much sense. I’ll pass on the blog.
If this is important, why not post the whole blog?
BTW, there is a bloggers section.
