They may have been Election Day disappointments, but former Gov. Charlie Crist and ex-CFO Alex Sink arent going away. Theyre joining a bipartisan group of legislators tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. in front of the Old Capitol to announce their support for a constitutional ban on oil exploration and drilling in state waters.

from the article:
OK, maybe it wont be that bipartisan, seeing as how the announcement came out of the House Democratic minority office.
Sink Crist - yeh that’s the ticket.
Couple of losers. They both need to just go away.
Yeah.. that’s exactly what we need ! Go Crist ! Go Sink ! ... bankrupt our State please ! /sarcasm>
yes these two just need to go away...

- - - - - NEWS FROM BARBARA BOXER, UNITED STATES SENATOR FROM CALIFORNIA - - - - -
January 28, 2011
Dear Friend:
This week I introduced the West Coast Ocean Protection Act, a bill to permanently prohibit new offshore drilling along the Pacific coast. I was joined by all the Senators from the West Coast including my colleague from California, Senator Dianne Feinstein, and Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA), Patty Murray (D-WA), Ron Wyden (D-OR), and Jeff Merkley (D-OR) in offering this critical legislation to protect the 570,000 jobs and $34 billion coastal economy of our three states.
Additional offshore oil development along the Pacific shoreline would needlessly endanger irreplaceable natural resources and our vital coastal economies.
President Obama has not included the West Coast in any new offshore oil and gas development plans through at least 2017, but we need permanent protection. The West Coast Ocean Protection Act includes clear language stating that the Secretary of the Interior shall not issue a lease for the exploration, development, or production of oil or natural gas in any area of the outer Continental Shelf off the coast of the State of California, Oregon or Washington.
Be assured that I will work to enact this important bill to safeguard our entire coastline from harmful offshore drilling.
Sincerely,
BTTT
What happened - did they meet at the unemployment office and decide they could do even more damage to Florida?
Read in yesterday’s St. Pete Slimes that Crist/Sink were going to Tallahassee to talk about placing a constitutional amendment on the ballot to ban oil drilling.
I called RPOF to ask if they had a plan to counter the propaganda and indoctrination that Crist will inflict on everyday Floridians. The young woman who answered said that was a policy question and the office I called (RPOF # on their website) was a campaign office....??? I asked then who handles ‘policy’ issues.....she directed me to the Governor’s office.
GOP ....a day late and a dollar short.
