We had satellite for two years (Wildblue).
You get 7.5GB per month, 1.5Mb down (if you’re lucky), and a latency of 1100+ms (compared to 130-180ms for wireless). The latency was SO bad I couldn’t access secure sites, check my bank balances, make purchases, etc., without getting a timeout.
Satellite is NOT broadband. It’s also expensive - $70+ a month. And the cap is a joke.
This post truly is racist, and I don’t mean this as sarcasm either.
