Without naming Mubarak, Obama issued a written statement that criticized the leader for not offering clarity to his people or a concrete path to democracy. He called on Egyptian government leaders to do so, declaring: "They have not yet seized that opportunity."

“Furious Egyptian demonstrators vowed to launch their most spectacular protest yet in Cairo on Friday”

You mean, “spectacular” as in fire, people screaming, streets filled with blood, etc?

Obama fanned the flames and got the radicals even more radical and now all hell is going to break lose throughout Egypt.

No variation of “sharp” belongs in a sentence with “Obama” in it.

I’m expecting Obama to crash Prince William’s wedding and make a speech about how Prince Harry deserves to be king.

Like they're really headed for democracy. They are headed for Islamic law and it will be a bloodbath - there will be no Christians left in Egypt after it's all over. The Islamic purge of one of the oldest Christian communities will finally reach its bloody fruition.

Norm, I think Obama has just had his Bay of Pigs.

I wonder. Gingrich on Hannity tonight said the administration afterward will simply ignore what happened and go off and make speeches on other subjects.

He said that this is the strategy employed after North Korea and Iran. And thinking it over, I guess that's exactly what happened.

So, Egypt isn’t sovereign after all. Paper released an ocean away, written by person(s) unknown, tell the country what to do.

On the Internet, no less.

Do you know what Obama needs for moments like this?

He needs some scary looking teleprompters, as he pronounces from on high.
