Issa 'wouldn't feel bad' if Obama reelected due to strong economy

It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for President Obama to win reelection, one of his top Republican critics said Thursday.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), the tenacious chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said his top goal is to work with the administration to revive the economy. And if Obama were to win another term as a byproduct, so be it.

"I hope we can do that together," Issa said of job-creation efforts. "I probably still won't vote for him, but I certainly wouldn't feel bad if Americans were working again, and he did get another four years."

You are so right. I would have thought Issa was a Constitutional representative but should have known different because he has not expressed any desire to challenge anything passed that calls into question Obama’s eligibility for POTUSA. Just another guy whose real concern is the money pot USA.

It’s an environmental fundamentalist’s dream! Corn-powered horses and a vegetarian citizenry foraging for grass and twigs to eat like the N. Koreans.

>> Beg to differ...it would be the worst thing. If America can vote again for Hussein then its came over for our future.

Not true at all. Political currents lag the trend.

Our concern should focus on Tea Party resolve and the trends of normalization in Europe.

I could care less of Obama wins 2012. He’s spent his political collateral. The Era of Obama is over. C’mon, 4 years of Leftist atrophy could be entertaining...

Trust me, they’ve lost.

The economy's health over the next 20 months will be important in determining whether President Obama will be re-elected. One key to Obama's winning a second term could be whether mentions of unemployment continue to go up or decline. Unemployment ranked high as a most important problem in 1976, 1984, and 1992 -- all years in which an incumbent president was trying to win an election. The general trend in mentions of unemployment rose over the course of 1976 and 1992, prior to Gerald Ford's and George H.W. Bush's defeats, but declined in the months leading up to Ronald Reagan's 1984 victory.

Can Issa be trusted? Some say NO...so we’ll see...how his investigations go...if it is just show for us...then Issa needs to go and put someone else in charge to investigate this criminal WH and his administration...
