Well, you’re as far off as you can get. I met with the man for an hour and a half in the White House and he displayed more “Historical Literacy” than Buchanan ever had in his life. Indeed, prior to Obama, the Bush plan in Iraq-—even if an accident-—as the ONE way we could win the WoT, by sucking every jihadist in the world into one place. Buchanan has spent too much time with Scarborough and his brain is indeed Nazified.

For the longest time (I don’t know if it still is, and don’t care), Buchanan’s main gig was as a “Republican analyst” on MSNBC. Ponder what that means for a minute.

You’re probably the single genuine expert on this thread, and I’ll gladly accept your judgment.

(Seriously! I mean it. None of the usual FR sarcasm and cynicism!)

But I gotta hand it to Buchanan:

Ol’ Pat is truly a masterful wordsmith. All his hours on “Mourning with Joe” appear not to have diminished that talent one whit. PJB still has a superb ability to weave together facts, factoids and outright falsehoods — creating the kind of superficially plausible narrative that Dr. Paul J. Goebbels himself surely would have envied.
