Love it. Wish more legislators thought like you. It is time to remind the executive branch that their core duty is implementation. Policy is the duty of the legislature which is most directly accountable to their constituents.
But I suppose an activist judge will take it upon himself to legislate a budget from the bench.
In most states, the judiciary is limited in their involvement in state budgetary matters. One area they typically do have some power is their opinion of their own funding. Basically to make sure the the third branch wasn't defunded to irrelevance. Keep their budget status quo or throw them a 2 percent increase to take them out of the equation. They typically are not a big budget hitter anyway and there are much bigger fish to fry.
Actually happy to see that these fights are starting to happen...
Time to fire up the Tea Parties and get on his a** ASAP. That is our job. Keep the home fires burning.
