I’ve been in power outages before, but never rolling blackouts.

Do you get any warning? Do they say in advance what areas will be out? And how long do the outages last?

There was an general announcement for the area that rolling blackout will occur. But individuals cannot reasonably be individually notified as to the time the power will go off and come back on. The power need fluctuates too fast to schedule and notify beyond large area notifications.

We lost our power at home during the previous round of blackouts, but this event actually didn't happen but was a warning of a possibility, 4 days ago, that did not happen.
