Rick wasn't particularly hostile to Palin. That said, Rick did voice the following criticism of Palin.

“I have a feeling that she has some demands on her time, and a lot of them have financial benefit attached to them.”

Thanks for the link. Santorum in effect says that he suspects that Palin did not go to CPAC because she was probably busy making money to help her large family.

IIRC, Sarah did say that she was too busy with other activities to go to CPAC. She does have kids, and apparently she does support them.

So the controversy here must be about Sarah's being paid, right? According to Politico, Santorum somehow insulted Palin by pointing out that she is compensated for her work. It's practically a blood libel!

Why is Politico still in business? I mean, what's the point?
