TRIPOLI, Feb 13 (Reuters) - Palestinian refugees should capitalise on the wave of popular revolts in the Middle East by massing peacefully on the borders of Israel until it gives in to their demands, Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi said on Sunday.
Gaddafi is respected in many parts of the Arab world for his uncompromising criticism of Israel and Arab leaders who have dealings with the Jewish state, though some people in the region dismiss his initiatives as unrealistic.
He was giving his first major speech since a popular uprising in neighbouring Egypt forced President Hosni Mubarak to resign, an event which electrified the Arab world and prompted speculation that other Arab governments could also be toppled.
"Fleets of boats should take Palestinians ... and wait by the Palestinian shores until the problem is resolved," Gaddafi was shown saying on state television. "This is a time of popular revolutions."

That’s my read too. I entirely expect these tin-pots to start getting their “street” cred back by whipping up their young male demographic against those “Jews in Israel, oppressing your Muslim brothers!”

God will not allow Israel to fall again.
I wonder what the middle east would be like without Israel. What that would look like. What would some of these people have to fight over? Would they all then live in peace or would they find something new to fight over?
Maybe Israel should move to the west coast of the United States or Canada - give them all the land they want. Set them up - build new cities. Let them start over and have a happy and peaceful life.
How many nukes would it take to destroy Israel? I am thinking four - strategically placed - would pretty much do them in.
How will they survive that? Because that day is coming if we don’t stop Syria and Iran.
We need a huge student uprising in Syria and Iran - overthrow the governments and get rid of the nut jobs in power.
Otherwise - I promise you - Israel is finished.
As I have said, God will not allow it. There will be an attack that will appear to be unsurvivable for Israel, however, the attack will be repelled and there will be no way that it could be attributed to anyone but God.
I share your concern about the future of Israel.
Do you think Americans care enough about the Israelis that they would support an offer to let any or all of the 6-7 million jews in Israel move to America? Obviously, not all would accept the offer, but some might.
Honestly, yes - I do believe that American’s would allow this. I know many people who would allow this. Canada, as well.
People here do care about the future of Israel.
I don’t see this ending well for Israel - I am not one of the people that literally believe Israel can’t be destroyed. I know some do believe that.
We live in a very dangerous and exciting world right now - scary and exciting at the same time.
This is all leading up to something big - but what will it be.
What is our agreement with Israel? Will we actually put boots on the ground to fight a war there? If Israel needed our help?
Would it just be a missile war.

What makes you think Jews would be safe in the US or EU once Israel is gone?
Hate crimes stats speak otherwise, and it was US policies that weakened Israel to think point in the first place, along with their own sad attempts at liberalism. Remember, most of Israel is made up of former refugees the US didn’t take the first time around, and anyway, you’re discussing the idea of relocating people with 5000+ years of lineage in that region.
I don’t know - a lot of Jewish people live here - safely. Sure there will always be hate - as long as there are humans there will be hate. But - I don’t think you would see the violence and hardship they have to endure over there.
Yes, I think they would be as safe here as other Americans.
