I tried to search for a really funny parody I had heard way back in the 80’s, about him.

The problem may stem from the fact that no one really knows of to spell his name.

An article published in the London Evening Standard in 2004 lists a total of 37 spellings of his name, while a 1986 column by The Straight Dope quotes a list of 32 spellings known at the Library of Congress.[107] This extensive confusion of naming was used as the subject for a segment of Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update in the early 1980s.[citation needed]

A local comedy group did a parody of the chorus in Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" song back then. It went something like:

There must be fifty ways to kill Gaddafi
You...take a hammer to his head, Fred
Stab him in the back, Jack
Put him in a noose, Bruce
A little poison in his food, Jude
It's easy, you see...
