Planned Parenthood Tries to Force Raped Teen to Have Abortion

Kennewick, WA -- On the heels of a slate of new videos showing Planned Parenthood centers in three states and Washington, D.C. assisting alleged sex traffickers in getting abortions for underage girls, a new report shows problems at a Washington state abortion business.

A newly-uncovered police report concerning a September 2008 incident reveals staff at a Kennewick, Washington Planned Parenthood doing everything possible to arrange an abortion for a 14-year-old girl who had been a victim of statutory rape by a 20-year-old man. The staff also try to keep the young girl at the Planned Parenthood center against her father's will.

Your link references a 2009 version of LDI’s “Boycott List”.

At the link you provided, at least 2 of those questioned the inclusion of the Salvation Army on a list of those associated with PP, whatever that means.

One who commented went on to say this:

“I have no idea how these folks produce their list together. The Salvation Army in no way supports abortion. In fact their position statement shows they are firmly against abortion.

The Salvation Army’s Position on Abortion

The Salvation Army believes in the sanctity of all human life and considers each person to be of infinite value and each life a gift from God to be cherished, nurtured and redeemed. Human life is sacred because it is made in the image of God and has an eternal destiny. (Genesis 1:27) Sacredness is not conferred, nor can it be taken away by human agreement.

The Salvation Army deplores society’s ready acceptance of abortion, which reflects insufficient concern for vulnerable persons, including the unborn. (Psalms 82:3-4)

The Salvation Army holds to the Christian ideals of chastity before marriage and fidelity within the marriage relationship and, consistent with these ideals, supports measures to prevent crisis pregnancies. It is opposed to abortion as a means of birth control, family planning, sex selection or for any reason of mere convenience to avoid the responsibility for conception. Therefore, when an unwanted pregnancy occurs, The Salvation Army advises that the situation be accepted and that the pregnancy be carried to term, and offers supportive help and assistance with planning.

The Salvation Army recognizes tragic and perplexing circumstances that require difficult decisions regarding a pregnancy. Such decisions should be made only after prayerful and thoughtful consideration, with appropriate involvement of the woman’s family and pastoral, medical and other counsel. A woman in these circumstances needs acceptance, love and compassion.

When an abortion has taken place, The Salvation Army will continue to show love and compassion and to offer its services and fellowship to those involved.

Approved by the Commissioners’ Conference

There seems to be a delight in causing the deaths of the babies, in supporting any breach of the law or violation of normal human compassion, so long as it frees them up to kill more. This is not concern for the mother or empathy for her plight: it's all about the act of abortion in itself.

Either that, or they are getting financial incentives for performing abortions beyond just the fees they charge to the women. Perhaps they make a market in selling fetal tissue to researchers or pharmaceutical companies? Follow the money.

Disgusting endorsement of acceptance of abortion. Actually, it would be better if they’d not uttered a thing about abortion instead of falling for the “difficult decision” crap so prevalent in our culture.

That doesn't answer the Question.

You claimed that the Salvation Army gave financial support to Planned Parenthood. That somebody in a pro-life organization has a personal animus with the Salvation Army does not equate to a claim that the Salvation Army gives financial aid to Planned Parenthood.

I've been unable to find any objective evidence whatever on the internet that the Salvation Army gives any sort of support to Planned Parenthood.

Repeating false gossip, even well intended false gossip is not helpful to the pro-life cause.

I don't think the answer about the Salvation Army is cut and dried. This is part of an interview with the current General.

Interview with General Shaw Clifton in English

B: You involve yourselves with questions such as abortion. I am assuming that The Salvation Army is against it?

S.C. That's too simple. We are not as conservative as our catholic brothers and sisters. There are situations in which abortion is the lesser evil, for instance in cases of severe deformities of the foetus, [or] rape. We try to support women who find themselves in this situation and to be loyal to them, even if they make decisions that we ourselves might not have made.

Look, there can be no doubt that the pro-life movement in Great Britain is weaker than in the United States, but the poster made a claim that the Salvation Army financially supported Planned Parenthood and that would appear to be completely false.

“That’s too simple. We are not as conservative as our catholic brothers and sisters.”

There’s nothing “Catholic” about abortion. It is the deliberate, calculated, premeditated murder of an unborn or newly born human just because the mother doesn’t want the baby. Sick. Just plain sick. It is a highly moral stand that the Salvation Army, of all organizations, should be TOTALLY FOR! And to use our tax dollars for these monsters is outrageous!

The fact that they’re wishy-washy about it and look for an out (”difficult decision”) tells me that they’re less interested in the smallest and most helpless humans around: the unborn. Shame on the Salvation Army and any other group that has anything to do with the Planned Predators.

Yeah, and he happens to live and work in London. At the risk of repeating myself, what financial support do you claim that the Salvation Army provides Planned Parenthood?

So what?

At the risk of repeating myself, what financial support do you claim that the Salvation Army provides Planned Parenthood?

What claims have I made? None. I've posted info from Pro-Life sites. You don't happen to like what they've said.

Hopefully wagglebee has more info.

This general colloquy began at post #20 with the claim that the Salvation Army was a financial contributor to Planned Parenthood. The only obective proof of anything was your apparent quote from a Salvation Army General in Great Britain that was clearly pro-life, just not as pro-life as we wished it to be.

I backed it with a link.

The other link that I posted stated: which identifies charitable groups that are associated with Planned Parenthood either through donations or joint programs. It listed the Salvation Army.

Again, hopefully wagglebee has more info.

I remember this coming up several years ago. Obviously I am very familiar with many of the groups that support Planned Parenthood; however, I am not aware of the Salvation Army giving them any support.

If you can find any evidence that the Salvation Army is supporting Big Murder please let me know.

I disagree COMPLETELY with the Salvation Army's statement that they believe abortion should be permissible in cases besides absolute risk to the mother's life. Nevertheless, this statement is not the same as actual financial support.
