Weisenthal Center demands Theodorakis be stripped of International Music Prize; composer: "US Jews behind Greek economic crisis."

Mikis Theodorakis, best known for composing the musical score to the film Zorba the Greek, recently declared on Greek television that he was “anti-Israel and anti-Semitic.” “Everything that happens today in the world has to do with the Zionists,” was one such comment. Another was “American Jews are behind the world economic crisis that has hit Greece also.” Theodorakis also blasted Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou for establishing closer relations with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who was guilty, he said, of “war crimes in Lebanon and Gaza.”

The Simon Wiesenthal Center on Tuesday reacted to Theodorakis' "obsessive anti-Jewish hatemongering." In a letter, it demanded the International Music Council (IMC) strip the Greek composer of his 2005 IMC-UNESCO International Music Prize.

some things never change in this world. When the world is going through a tough financial crisis, it must be that international Jewish conspiracy.

We are again reaching the international consensus that Jews be exterminated that existed in the 1930’s and before. It is socially acceptable in liberal circles to mouth the anti-Semitic rants of such as Noam Chomsky.

So then, can I assume his latest project, rumored to have the working title “Moeshe the Jew”, will NOT be a ‘rollicking musical comedy’?

Of Course it would be too hard to point out the fat greeks living off the government dime at the expense of their country. And if there was one jewish person to blame for much of the world's problem it would be George Soros. Yet he gets away scott free from all of his crimes. Conservatives, Jews or what ever the background, will be blamed for the worlds problems. Leftist, marxist, socialist scumbags will ride free.,

I am pretty certain Theodorakis used to be a communist. I mean a real card carrying kind of communist. Since the USSR imploded he must have been looking for a new all encompassing theory of history and.....IT'S THE JEWS THAT DID IT. Typical of ex-commies to find this hateful bilge convincing.
