Thank you for the link. I read it and understand what they are doing. Clearly they want to show that they are better representatives of the people, but they cannot think for a moment that it will change any Democrat’s mind, in the media or the private sector, about the Republican party.
And I REALLY do not understand how not one of them is talking about this law being ruled unconstitutional, and how moving forward to fund it is unconscionable.
You really have to wonder about these folks : /

Thank you very much for providing that link.
“Which proves one thing. Democrats like Slaughter know how tough it was to pass the health care law in 2009 and 2010.
And now Republicans like King are learning how tough it is to undo it.”
I can understand the reluctance to vary the established rules, and NOT be RAT in their approach to this task, but I also see King’s point. The Left is well experienced in breaking the rules.
When our people are dealing with RATS, they aren’t dealing with people that can be dealt with. Democrats aren’t a true American Political entity anymore as much as they are a minor self serving radical club that will do anything required to prevail.
If there are other means to get the job done, and get it done in such a way as to not fund anything that would make it even more difficult to stop ObamaCare down the road, then fine, go there. Otherwise they had better do it now with whatever means they can muster no matter how it looks to the purists.
I was let down at the idea they would refuse King’s amendment without any idea of direction other than “there has to be something we can do”, and not vary the rules.
