I really think we are beginning to see the wholesale abandonment of U.S. cities. Look at Detroit for instance. My feelings are mixed, as I don’t want city arseholes anywhere near me, thank you very much. Places like my town of Rutland have been infested enough as it is. On the other hand this really puts a wrench into the UN’s Agenda 21 plans.

Well, we could always turn the big cities into maximum security prisons.

That's the reality.

However, in the fantasyland of the Progressives, we need to herd everyone into cities. The suburban sprawl is a problem and we need to let nature reclaim vast areas of the country. We need urban centers connected by highspeed rail. We will spend billions and trillions trying to achieve this goal.

Meanwhile, the reality of people abandoning cities will continue.
