We hear that cameras prevent crimes. Every bank and convenience store has a security camera system. Yet there are still willful violators who enter the property with the sole intent of committing a crime.

They commit the crime and while we have the recorded “evidence” to use to prosecute a suspect, should one ever be apprehended, it did nothing to “protect” against that crime.

Prosecution and locking UP criminals prevents recurrence of crime.

The city was really frikkin' stupid not to have a terminate-for-convenience (or modify-for-convenience) clause in the contract.

Such a clause would indicate sanity on the city's part. And everyone knows there ain't no sanity clause.

“City governments” and “stupid” are co-existent...

I feel sorry for the ones we know are there doing the “right” thing...Yet its hard to stick out when most of your compadres are dumber than a bag of hammers...

Houston city government is really a lost cause nowadays...

If I bothered anymore to address that body, and say what I really want to say and what I think of them, I’d be labeled a racist...

I wonder if the local sporting good store sells “red-light camera” tags...Hunting season begins around the 2nd of March here...;-)
