Government schools **are** socialist-funded, collectivist, government owned and run, and managed by the voting mob people's committees ( schools boards). And...They are GODLESS!
Simply by attending children be comfortable with:

—Socialism. If government can take money from a neighbor for schooling ( by threat of armed police action ), why not threaten with with police action for thousands of other socialist wants and needs?
—Collectivism. Children learn to be compliant little prisoners of the state in their prison-like schools.
