South Dakota Man Arrested For 131st Time Published: February 17, 2011, 8:19 AM
RAPID CITY, SD - Authorities say they arrested a Rapid City man for the 131st time after he was caught drinking hair spray.
Pennington County prosecutor Joss Zellmer says 53-year-old David Black Crow was charged with ingesting an intoxicant other than an alcoholic beverage, and disorderly conduct.
Black Crow pleaded no contest to the charges and was sentenced to serve about a year in jail. The judge said he was unsure if Black Crow can be rehabilitated.

If he keeps drinking hair spray he’ll be rehabilitated permanently.
He needs a rememdy.
obscure?
remedy even, LOL.
It’s against the law to drink hairspray? Who knew. I wonder where you put the part.
/s
This might not be the most penetrating observation this judge has ever made.
Wonder what brand of hairspray?
I kind of like Suave (extra hold) with Coke and a dash of Prestone. But, to each his own I guess.
The guy must be related to Charlie Sheen.
“He needs a rememdy.
obscure?”
Not too obscure :) Do you think he might be hard to handle?
Someday they will find Black Crow stiff in the gutter.
Around 1958 Mad Magazine featured a Don Martin cartoon about college students drinking Vitalis hair tonic and one girl chiming “it goes great with Sterno, too!”
As a kid I went “Ewww yuk!” when I read that, but later learned some people will drink anything for a buzz.
Anyway, ol’ Black Crow or Kalijah is in need of some serious help, or at least help steer him back to Firewater or Grape Whizz or something more traditional.
Back in the early 90's my sister taught on a reservation in South Dakota for a year. She said it was not uncommon to see liquid lysol bottles strewn about the front yards of some of the shacks. She said they'd buy packets of Kool-Aid to flavor it. I'd heard of sterno consumption before, but this was new to me.
I’d heard of Sterno, too. Lysol is a new one on me. Geez, either one would taste pretty foul.
There is nothing I enjoy more on the weekend than curling up in my favorite over-stuffed chair with a good book, a roaring fire, and snifter of hair spray!
Lightweight.....Googleize or Wiki “Henry Earl”; he’s got this guy tenfold.
LOL!
The better run tribes have an age old cure for chronic substance abusers-- they take the guy out on a hunting, fishing and camping trip to a very remote wilderness area. He either comes back dried out and cured or he doesn't come back at all. No violence is involved. They just let nature take its course.

I was appalled the first time a tribal elder told me about it and told him I thought it was cruel. He told me that it was a lot kinder than continuing to enable the guy destroy his life and the lives of others who were victims of his problem.
