Fox News ^ | Feb 17, 2011

Behind closed doors, Scott Walker, the Republican who has been governor for about six weeks, calmly described his intent to forge ahead with the plans that had set off the uprising: He wants to require public workers to pay more for their health insurance and pensions, effectively cutting the take-home pay of many by around 7 percent.

...

Scott Fitzgerald, the Republican leader in the State Senate, slipped out of the Capitol Wednesday morning with his sunglasses on, head down. Protesters had gone to his home earlier in the week, forcing his family (including his wife, a school guidance counselor) to go elsewhere for a bit.

Just curious if these protesting teachers had parents’ permission to take their children off school property?

I’d be filing kidnapping charges ASAP, if it was my kid.

They already are, the schools are closed in Madison because 40% of the teachers called in saying they are “sick”. It’s the blue flu and it’s illegal according to their own contract.

These people are thugs. What is being asked of them is not outrageous. It’s still a far better deal than most in the private sector have. They still have a lot more job security than anyone else in the private sector. They are acting like they are being victimized to death.

Look for Government employee union members to become violent coast to coast, when they figure out the private sector is broke and can no longer pay for their generous tax paid salaries, benefits or lottery type government retirement pensions...

Government employee violence....Get ready for it

and these kind of thugs are teaching children????????

Sick and disgusting.
Every person holding a sign giving threats should be charged.
Those who have gone sick but are taking tax payers money to do this thuggery should be fired.

I hope every parent goes to school and steps in for any thug which does not turn up for work.
I know if this happened here I'd be right at the school taking their class

Very good point! There would be lawsuits and criminal charges if it were my kid.

I grew up in a dirty union county. They’ve driven off all the jobs the last 25 years. I hate union thugs with a passion. One of them attacks me they’ll be lucky I don’t take their head clean off.

Time to take a tough stance. Take their pay away this time and fire them the next time. What would Reagan do? WWRD ~

My math skills are pretty rusty, but here's how I look at Kim's plight:

.07X = 1,200
X=1,200/.07
X=17,143

So Kim is just skinning it on $17,143 per month (not counting any income her husband might bring in), but she absolutely can't make it on $15,943 per month.

These dingelheimers will get absolutely no sympathy from the public at large, the majority of whom already distrust unions and want no part of them. The time is ripe for busting them up.

The Governor should start accepting applications to replace these thugs. This should be the SHOT ACROSS THE BOW - TODAY.

(I sent an email to the Gov in support)

They need to have their ability to donate money as an organization to political candidates and causes stripped. This should not strip the right of its members to donate but the organization itself.

This would be a perfect use of a state militia. Even though they are in the Constitution why dont states have any?

I saw some signs zinging Walker for not having a college degree. Classy.

Not near as classy as the ones calling him a dictator, though.
