Thousands of Union Protesters Storm WI State Capitol; Target Homes of GOP Lawmakers
Fox News ^ | Feb 17, 2011

Behind closed doors, Scott Walker, the Republican who has been governor for about six weeks, calmly described his intent to forge ahead with the plans that had set off the uprising: He wants to require public workers to pay more for their health insurance and pensions, effectively cutting the take-home pay of many by around 7 percent.

...

Scott Fitzgerald, the Republican leader in the State Senate, slipped out of the Capitol Wednesday morning with his sunglasses on, head down. Protesters had gone to his home earlier in the week, forcing his family (including his wife, a school guidance counselor) to go elsewhere for a bit.

Gee, you almost never hear about Tea Partiers doing such things.

Oddly enough the media doesn’t seem to notice.

They certainly haven't noticed the sign with the crosshairs superimposed over Governor Walker's head...guess the corrupt media hasn't been able to connect it to Sarah Palin yet...

Target Homes of GOP Lawmakers

Too fast typing. Correction below.

Time to bring out the National Guard against these Communists! They can't get what they want through the system, so they attack the politicians physically. Now I'm not averse to the latter if the politicians weren't keeping their oaths, but in this case, the Communist Union types want to subvert lawfully elected and oathkeeping lawmakers.

Put 'em down. Hard.

Unions will even protest each other.

I was an AFL-CIO member and the UAW picketed our shop because we agreed to a no strike clause in our contract.

He needs to hear us.

A part of the Bill that Governor Walker is bringing through will take away the ability of Unions to deduct dues directly from workers paychecks. Instead, it forces Unions to collect dues by making workers write a check. This is the single most terrifying thing for a Union. It turns them into a collection agency.

VIOLENCE AND HATE ARE THE CORE VALUES OF THE UNION COMMUNIST MOVEMENT. There are no reasons for unions any more, other than to advance the goals of Communism. ALL UNIONS MUST BE CRUSHED

Right on the money as usual, Laz.

I bumped this to breaking news. This might really be exactly that, since this might be the Left attempting to redo Egypt.

The protests are bordering on violence, and they are targeting politicians at home.

Albert Shanker: “When school children start paying union dues, that ‘s when I’ll start representing the interests of school children.”

Albert Shanker (September 14, 1928 – February 22, 1997) was President of the United Federation of Teachers from 1964 to 1984 as well as President of the American Federation of Teachers from 1974 to 1997.

The masses have no sympathy for these public union leeches. Their gravy train is over, their looting of taxpayers has left us all broke.

I'll enjoy watching these stains on society lose their homes and not have a clue how to find work/income that isn't a union handout.

First we had loyalist vs patriot, then north vs south.

The next one will be public servant vs public.

>>>”seems like more of an assault on unions.”<<<

When a gang of thugs has been beating, robbing and raping you for years, and you finally decide to defend yourself, it is called “self-defense”, not assault. That is exactly what is going on in Wisconsin. The good people are finally standing up to the bullies (and winning) and the bullies, their friends in the media and in the White House don’t seem to like it.

Isn’t it somewhat of a non-written rule that if you go directly to a legislators home, you’ve kind of crossed the line between “citizen” and “stalker”?

These people aren’t “public workers”.
They are “thugs”!!!

Freep this Poll:

“State legislators get to cast their vote on Gov. Walker’s budget repair bill today. How would you vote?”

Gov. Scott Walker’s bill to strip almost all union rights for public workers advanced out of committee Wednesday just before midnight, setting up a pivotal floor vote in the Senate that is expected for Thursday amid massive demonstrations.

This shows that the governor is on the right track. Hopefully, this will be done in every state. Public employee unions are bankrupting the nation.

Too bad WI doesn’t have “Castle Doctrine”.

I could see this getting uglier.

"Kim Hoffman, a middle school music teacher, said she and her husband, also a teacher, would lose $1,200 a month under the plan — too deep a cut to manage."

Try living on a 0% income, Kim, you leeching freeloader. Plenty of private sector workers are trying to get by on that due in large part to paying for you and your useless husband exhorbinant salaries and pensions.

During my lifetime, I had to belong to 5 Unions, 2 of them in Wisconsin.

I deliberately found a way to go self-employed over 30 years ago so I would never have to be connected to such behavior ever again.

They are thugs & need to be prosecuted for their behavior. SEIU are the worst—they will even camp out on executive’s front lawns & damage property to make their point. SEIU also proudly tells the world that a majority of their members are ILLEGAL intruders.

Cops in Wisconsin need to do their jobs— arrest those who are out of line.

I am to the point where I sincerely hope Scott Walker fires them all & rehires only those who are not involved or who were not in the union in the first place.

Unions have far outlived their usefulness.
