Why does one need a union at all when working for the government?
Not mine. I was a carpenter in the home building trade. No benefits, no severance pay and if you didn't put in a hard day's work every day with a minimum of mistakes you were out. Period. Down the road without recourse as it should be.
Not only that the work I did 25 years ago is still serving some family well today.
A tidbit of history.
I once served with an Air Force colonel who had been Air Attache in Chungking when the Chinese Communists took over. He said they held a victory parade past the American Embassy, and one of the marches their band played was ON WISCONSIN. Not sure if the commies knew the origin, but it is a stirring march.
Public employee unions use union money to elect politicians who will then vote for more pay and perks for public employees. It's a racket. In effect, public employees are on both sides of the bargaining table. The end result is to loot the taxpayers, who have no one to stand up for them.
Nobody owes you a living. Once you realize that, you are no longer at the mercy of others.
If you lose your job, you go and find a new one or you go out and invent a new one. You do whatever is necessary to take care of yourself and your family.
It’s that simple...
Please note, I am not defending Hitler. When Hitler disbanded the Unions in Germany- keep in mind there was a world-wide depression that happened in 1929. (In Germany, in 1933 Hitler was elected as Chancellor. germany had to pay the French, British and so forth for the first World War - reparations, and germany paid the final payments in 2010).
germany had no money, because of the depression and the staggering war payments. People wanted to work, Hitler put them to work and he got crazy with his dream of the 1000 Year Reich and germany went awry and sought for more land and so forth and Hitler destroyed Germany with WWII.
I have spoken with my brother-in-laws father whom was in Prussia (now Poland) and his family had their own business - trucking and when Hitler invaded Poland , he was sucked into the military and he was a supply driver and he was captured in the Seige of stalingrad, and went to POW camp in siberia till he was released in 1948.
The depression and the reparations caused for Germany to have a despot come in turn Germany around, but the consequences of making it based on military was Hitlers undoing.
Please understand I am not endorsing Hitler but showing what happened to a country that was bankrupt and Hitler brought the country back only to destroy it within 11 years.
Is not it odd, germany has risen up from WWII and now it is the most profitable of the Western Countries and Germany is now buying up the NYSE and other American businesses.

I’m not sure I understand your reply. I think every state should be a right to work state, I’m just saying these idiots are whining about the money they might have to pay for their own benefits and insurance rates going up, yet they willingly waste money each month in union dues.
I’m not sure about that. obastard knows that the unions are gonna lose this issue. He knows this is why governors such as Walker, Kasich, Christie, McDonnell and so many others were elected. He knows that The People are not behind these unions and that this entire political area of rat power is undergoing extensive shrinkage right before his eyes.
What the Tea Party in WI should do is organize and go to homes of rat senators who were on that bus. Put some heat on them to cooperate. They should choose the ones who won by a thread and are in areas that went for Walker. All they have to do is show up for work and form a quorum.
Mea Culpa, Mea Cupla, Mea Culpa
Sometimes my fingers are taking the point of view from one way of speaking, and my mind the other.
I MEANT to say:
“which they would use to create the claim that THE BUDGET CUTS hurt “smaller class size” objectives, and thereby created conditions that they say are damaging to education. When in fact. the larger class size conditions would the result of their policy preferences - keep their collective bargaining rights and compensation levels, requiring state funding cuts that can result in layoffs.”
