This is a critical moment in the nation’s battle to dig itself out of debt and free itself from the iron grip of public union monopolies. As you know from reading this blog, the Wisconsin showdown has been a long time coming. I remind you that there are many brave workers exposing the corruption and costs of compulsory unionism. Today’s syndicated column gives an overview of the Big Labor battle in Wisconsin — now spreading to Ohio and Indiana, where the DNC/OFA are organizing the community of grievance-mongers kicking and screaming against overdue reforms.

Like someone famous always says: Change is never easy.

Welcome to the reckoning. We have met the fiscal apocalypse, and it is smack dab in the middle of the heartland. As Wisconsin goes, so goes the nation. Let us pray it does not go the way of the decrepit welfare states of the European Union.

The unions will not go down without a fight. Its going to be hard work bringing them under control. Especially with a sitting president ginning up the crowd. Once an organizer always an organizer.

TIME FOR right to work legislation... State-wide..
Just discussions on the subject would make Unionizers grit their teeth..
ANY Republican worth their salt should mention right to work laws at every opportunity..
(a)again.. and again.. and again... goto (a)..

About time for Walker to tell the president to “Butt Out” of a states issue.

Is there no issue to small for O’bammy to weigh in on?

So? Let them whine. The taxpayers are only going to accept it for so long. Parents in WI are getting angry. They're paying, even now, for those teachers to be in the classroom. Instead, they're out "partying with friends" and the kids are just wandering around the streets.

Yep. Now is the time to get America excited enough to demand real fiscal reform. This teacher strike is exposing how many freebies these teachers are really getting. That draws attention to the rest of the federal employees and what they're scamming out of the taxpayers, too.

There is no “Big Labor” any more, there is only taxpayer funded democrat labor. Everything else is mostly radicals taking advantage of smaller numbers that make it easier to gain cotrol of locals. As soon as the democrat party had unions they could openly and lavishly buy with taxpayer funds they stopped even trying to help industry based union folks. The democrat party was more than happy to see them fade in importance.

You can't trust the working man unless you control both sides of the bargaining equation is the way fascists have always seen things. Now that they have controlling interest in GM it's just a matter of time before the democrat party starts tossing UAW workers overboard.

JMHO

Regards

This should have been pushed nationally when the Republicans had the House, Senate, and the Presidency. But I guess that wasn't compassionate enough.

They need at least one Senate Dem to make a 3/5ths quorum needed to pass appropriations bills.

Passing legislation making Wisc a right-to-work state would not be an appropriations bill, and could be passed with a simple majority quorum, and a simple majority vote of those present.

Let the unions and the Dems chew on THAT.

Don't expect it, I don't think the Republicans are really serious, and are just posturing to look good for the Tea Party.

You work with what you have.. at the time the pubbie party had more holes in it than a rat bit wheel of cheese..

The TpCaucus has changed the whole political world in the U.S... especially the republican party.. and is even cleansing the democrat party a bit..

2010 was a dress rehearsal.. 2012 will be opening night..
