I didn't see this posted here, so I thought I would. Have some people really lost our minds, or were their minds never developed in the first place? Islam says Christianity is false. Mosques don't allow non-Muslims to enter.

Not surprising. I don't think there are enough Christians left in United Methodism to care. Remember, this is the denomination that was busy worshipping the pagan goddess Sophia at the Re-imagining conference along with the Presbyterian Church-USA and ELCA way back in 1993.

So in one way you could see their opening the doors to Islam as getting closer to orthodoxy in the sense that although they stole Allah from the Arabic pagans, it is now a monotheistic religion.

In other words, Heartsong is part of the emerging church movement and it doesn't really matter at all what you believe, so long as you show up.

Im definatly not a muslim sympathyzer, and have always had troublekeeping this verse crystal clear in practice, but Jesus himself said to love you enemies.

Mat 5:43 You have heard that it was said, “You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.”
Mat 5:44 But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you,
Mat 5:45 so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

and in Romans Paul tells us

It is what Jesus would do. I have read Mormons are always allowing Evangelicals to use their Churches everytime one gets hit by Greek Orthodox lightning for the insurance.

I doubt that the congregations doing this are actually “churches” in the biblical sense of the word. Hence they are also likely small dwindling congregations too...

Is the scripture faithfully preached in them?
Are the sacraments rightly administered in them?

If no to either question, a group doesn’t qualify as a “Church” in any meaningful way—even if the sign outside says so...

Hence Islam is just another branch of whatever form of non-Christianity they are following...
