MADISON, Wis. In a capital city overrun for much of the past week by union supporters, state employees and students all objecting to the Republican governor's plan to cut collective bargaining rights and benefits for public workers a new element was introduced Saturday: opposition to the opposition.
And so, a significantly bolstered force of law officers kept a somewhat nervous eye on dueling protests. On one side of the Capitol square, swarms of union supporters chanted, as they have for days: "Kill the bill! Kill the bill!" On another corner, a cluster of demonstrators, many of whom described themselves as tea party members, chanted: "Pass the bill! Pass the bill!"
Lawmakers and others said they were worried how the events might play out, and scores of officers were on hand, along with barricades, temporary fences and even police snipers.
One legislator described the scene as "dangerous," but police officials said they were not anticipating any problems. And by Saturday afternoon, the tensions seemed to be playing out with only an occasional exchange of angry words, hand gestures and spittle.

You can bet the politicians will be looking for ways to steal the 401k savings of the non-government retirees to fund the bloated benefits of the government retirees. The former group has nobody to defend them. The latter has politicians and unions feeding at the trough.

Sulz’y????????? The PLO - loving Sulz’y???
The left is losing the PR battle.
As my grandmother said while watching a report on the unionistas. “That’s no way to behave”.
Now what did they leave out?
How many busloads of ACORN workers were bussed in from Chicago ?
It's Bush's fault?
Barry calls for civility and then buses in union agitators to prevent an elected legislature from conducting the people’s business and to prevent an elected Governor from saving the state from fiscal disaster. Scream it from the rooftops. He has the nerve to lecture us on civility and then stirs has his union thugs stir up trouble so than can keep fleecing the taxpayers and keep filling Democrat campaign coffers. It is sickening!
We need a new tone in public discourse, civility. /sarc
It's not an "element". It's a political force you idiots. The Slimes, ever guilty of jounalistic malpractice, are loathe to acknowledge the powerful influence of the Tea Party.
There Is Fear For Scott Walker's Safety
Thuggish mobs have taken over the Wisconsin state capitol
Imagine the NYT coverage if this had been a Tea Party demonstration.
“He has the nerve to lecture us on civility”
The Pontificator-in-Chief
Great graphic.
No bias there, nope. I wonder how they would have covered David and Goliath... Oh well we know how that really turned out.
How about THIS for a compromise...............
As I understand it, the Wisconsin legislature cannot hold a vote of the subject at hand because there are no chickenshit dem0 sonsofbitches showing up to do their job. As I understand it, it is against the law to hold the vote unless there is at least one chickenshit dem0 sonofabitch there.
How hard would it be for one of the Republicans to “CHANGE” his affliction to chickenshit dem0 sonofabitch at least long enough to vote..QM.
AND, if that wont work, why not just skip over this subject temporarially, and continue on with OTHER work that they CAN do without any chickenshit dem0 sonsofbitches present. Perhaps there are subjects that CAN be voted on, and WITHOUT the chickenshit dem0 sonsofbitches being there to add their perspective on..QM.
MAYBE if business is carried on WITHOUT the chickenshit dem0 sonsofbitches being there, the chickenshit dem0 sonsofbitches will be forced to come back to address these issues..QM.
There’s nothing better than seeing the Left show their true colors to the public.
The only thing I’m concerned about is when the chant will go from
“Kill the bill! Kill the bill!”
to
“Kill the Bill, Gina, Johnny, Jeff, and Sarah because they disagree with us because they want to take our money away!”
Pushing back the entitlement attitude that the Left has Socialized into our country since 1965 can be an ugly thing.
Here’s what they, and every other state facing similar organized action, need to do:
1.Bring in the cops and pay the overtime. Outfit them in those black ninja suits with lots of padding and hardware.
2.Since the schools are already empty, take over the gymnasiums and rent a few porta-potties, one for men,one for the ladies.
3. Arrest and detain every jay-walker, litter-bug, peace disturber, trespasser etc. and detain them until someone pays their fine— the maximum.
4. Boot and ticket and tow and impound every vehicle parked the least bit out of line.
5. Advise area food businesses to raise food prices,
and parking lot fees.
6. If unions bus in their own food, put food inspectors on them.
7. fire any state worker who refuses directions.
Get the idea? Maybe they could balance the state’s budget out of this mess.
They don’t need to get at the epicenter, just start with the fringe, and work your way in; pick the low-hanging fruit first.
Oh, what a tremendous disappointment for the national media.
Leni
The union thugs paid rent a mob bussed in and fed, Tea Party paid their own way and cleaned up their own mess....Hummmm
