Jeff Gundlach of DoubleLine (via Zero Hedge) has put together the sort of presentation that isn't likely to elicit Christmas cheer in readers. It details the depths of the crisis the U.S. economy is truly facing, including its massive debt problem, the declining value of its currency, the unemployment crisis, and the housing crisis.
Bah humbug.
It's a great review of everything that is going very wrong in the U.S. right now and certainly a worthy dose of realism to combat all those bullish views on U.S. growth of late.

I am afraid that we have reached the tipping point. Wisconsin is the beginning of that point. What the teachers don’t know is that they will never get their pension. Where is it going to come from? All of the “rich folk”, who are just sitting on their wealth? I hope everyone on FR is preparing for the coming collapse. We have reached the point of no return. The only hope is if we can slow it down a little..

What struck me about the teachers strike was their bringing the students.. who, whether they know it or not, are being asked to pay for the benefits package the teachers will enjoy in retirement. Wonder if any students will have second thoughts then?
Maybe I’m an idiot, but I would just as soon get it over with and start anew, not slow it down. I’ve prepared as much as I can, and the mental prep is just as important.
I just hope that SOME DAY those responsible will burn in hell.

Not too many people have been speaking the dreaded words “double dip recession” lately, but only time will tell. I think there’s some optimism in the economy because of the Republican-controlled House being a check against Obama’s agenda.
These scenarios and facts don’t worry the leftist foot soldiers because they believe there are plenty of “rich” people out there not yet paying their “fair” share. Just tax the rich and all our economic problems can be solved.
The leftists capos on the other hand, want economic collapse to create enough desparate people demanding government do something, and do it immediately. That something will start out by seizing the liquid assets of the rich to provide immediate relief. Of course, anyone with assets (401(k), pension, savings, stocks, etc.) is by definition rich. The foot soldiers will be more than happy to help.
I think you can see where it goes from there. Bad news is good news for liberal elitists.
If history is any guide, a whole lot more people who are NOT responsible will burn in hell; whatever sort of hell on earth results from this inevitable collapse.
i’m more than sure that this collapse was going ot happen a long time ago, but here we are, it’s happening.
The US economy will not be fixed until:
End Free Trade....especially Free Trade with Communist China. Trillions of trade deficits in the past two decades does not build an economy...it is wealth leaving the country. Free Trade Communists are killing America
End Illegal Alienism: Every Illegal Alien deported....the borders secure...any person employing or housing an illegal alien is a first-degree felony....
End H1-B and special visa programs: Do not need any foreign labor when plenty of Americans are available to do the work. Companies who do not hire Americans should be taxed...while companies who hire Americans get tax breaks.
Lower taxes across the board...and limit government spending
Seems only the last one is being tried...the others are just given lip service. If you are not willing to end Free Trade Communism, end Illegal alienism, and end all programs hiring foreigners over Americans....you are not fixing the US economy.
Living is what you do in between preparing for the Apocalypse.
