A motorcade of about a dozen vehicles, including 15 state and local law enforcement officers, traveled from the Eagle County Regional Airport to Vail on Friday night, according to the Colorado State Patrol. Roads were temporarily blocked to make way for the motorcade in Eagle.

My folks new someone with a cabin in Vail and we stayed there once. It was during the Ford years, and it was used by the S.S. to watch Ford’s place across the street.
I’m not sure if it was a joke, or if Ford would come over to the S.S. cabin, but their was a note on the low doorway out of the kitchen that said “MR. PRESIDENT, WATCH YOUR HEAD”
I really hope that those photos without ski gear just meant the reporter was wrong - that they were on the way to the rental shop first. It would be nice for those kids to ski. But yeah - how many vacations do these folks need!? (Does the nearby Camp David still get used?)
