I guess I haven't been in that position, so I wouldn't be able to judge that."

That is considered a pro-life position now??

I bet he will be pro-choice when his present temporary girlfriend gets pregnant.

Seek and Fine,
You are one of the best FREEPERS around, but this bashing of Bieber is a bit sick....I am not saying that you are posting more than this one article, but cumulative we have seen a ton of articles on a 16 year old who said some good stuff and some rather stupid stuff. I believe all 16 year olds can be said to be in the same position from time to time. I think that even the Palin daughters said some stupid things on Facebook and they were honored here due to their ages.

America is “evil”, so yes he is obviously someone we should sympathize with.

Why would anyone care what a sixteen year old pop star parrots except other sixteen year old twits?

I read a couple of paragraphs and realized how much I don’t care about any of the opinions of anyone mentioned in the article...so I stopped.

Ping me when Justin becomes an American citizen and old enough to vote. Even then he’d need a few more years of maturing before he could possibly understand what life is really all about.

Several questions and points come to mind.
- Why does it matter what a 16 year-old pop star thinks any more than anyone else...
- How did this kid get so popular anyway?
- Just about anything coming out of the mouth of a 16 year-old is based on near zero life experience, little political understanding and is something to be taken as such.
- How did this kid get so popular anyway?
- Even a 16 year-old understands that no matter how you wrap it, abortion is the act of killing a baby.
- And finally, how did this kid get so popular anyway?

"insulting to people who have been raped"

Joy needs to get with Whoopi and clarify if we are talking rape, or rape-rape. Because it seems to matter.

This writer's taste in music tends more toward Gregorian chants than modern pop

Cool!

.

IMHO, maybe we should cut the boy a little slack:

‘The studio has been screening the movie (Never Say Never) for many Christian faith leaders in hopes that the film will attract a religious audience, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Bieber is quite vocal about his faith during interview, and you can see it as well throughout the film. Many times, Bieber is seen praying before a concert or talking about God as his inspiration.’

I don’t care for his type of music, but I’m inclined to cut this boy a little slack.
It appears the parents tried to raise the boy right, and he’s trying to live by their teachings.
How often do you see this boy’s type of behavior among the scum in the rap, hiphop rock music industry?
Maybe he could have some positive influence on young people.

He seems like a nice boy. He went to Catholic school, and I think his mom is a devout Christian.

When I was his age I had absolutely no opinion on abortion. Heck, I believed in “world peace”.

“I guess I haven’t been in that position, so I wouldn’t be able to judge that.”

This embodies one of the greatest liberal victories over the traditional Culture that the rotten Left has scored, ie: “Unless X______ has happened to you YOU DON’T KNOW! YOU CAN’T JUDGE!” I first became aware of the tactic in the 70’s and it’s seeming to spring out of the ether whole and in contradiction to established Culture really baffled the hell out of me.

He may be a celebrity - but he’s still just a kid. I doubt he’s studied in detail the public policy issues he was quizzed on in any detail. Why Rolling Stone would ask him such questions is ridiculous.
