call their bluff, put in place a contigency plan - new students ready to graduate in education - student teaching have them be prepared to step into the jobs. keep in mind let the strike runout till the union benefits run out the unions funds are exhausted. then the teachers request to come to the table - so tough you went out on strike, the union supported you, guess what go to your union and ask for jobs there are people whom are doing your jobs at a whole less in pay and the students test results prove that they are doiing their jobs. go back to your union and ask for your money back. because the taxpayers of this state are fed up.
There is a ton of stuff that Wisc’s GOP legislature could do right now. They could change teacher certification law. They could bar teacher unions from collective bargaining. Etc. But they don’t seem to be doing squat. Oh...they’re letting their Dem. colleagues vote by phone, apparently.
I said this last week—if the legislator and the governor didn’t take decisive steps quickly, they would lose this fight. I still expect that to happen.
