Thug Life

Think Mubarak was bad? Kosovo's leaders are accused of being organ-smuggling, drug-dealing goons -- and the United States is looking the other way.

Amid fireworks and celebratory gunfire, Kosovo -- Europe's newest country -- turned three years old on Thursday, Feb. 17. But behind the scenes of revelry in the capital, Pristina, it's clear that it will take a lot more than flag-waving for the fledgling country to grow out of its terrible twos. For all the hope that was once showered upon this young democracy, it still faces an enormous uphill battle: the country has no international postal or telephone code; it cannot establish its own IP address; its athletes cannot partake in many international sporting events; thousands of NATO troops still remain as peacekeepers; and Kosovars can only travel visa-free to five countries -- one of which is Haiti. With only 75 out of 192 nations having recognized the new state, it remains in a purgatory of semi-sovereignty.

Meanwhile, it's been a big start to the year for new states and new orders. The regimes in Tunisia and Egypt have fallen. Southern Sudan claimed its independence...

.....

And here's the rub: While the United States grappled with its inability (whether for lack of a fulcrum or fear of meddling) to use leverage to remove the regimes in Tunis and Cairo, it actually does have the power to affect change and promote transparent and accountable governance in Pristina -- where a coterie of thuggish leaders, holdovers from a Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) unit accused of war crimes and weapons dealing, now run the country. But, thus far, Washington has been unwilling to exert the necessary pressure on Kosovo's leaders -- and in its impotence pours billions of dollars down the drain and risks condemning the state to thugocracy.

Perhaps with the U.S. losing clout and the financial means to defend Kosovo the Serbs with Russian backing will come in and clean house.

IT’S NOT A COUNTRY!!!

Just because Serbia’s neighbor to the south invaded, doesn’t mean the Albanians get to keep it. If they do, then southern California belongs to Mexico.

Since the vile theft of Kosovo from Serbia, I have always believed that someday the Serbs would take it back and have yearned to live to see it in my own lifetime.

As a good American, I also hoped that that would happen when a strong America repented of its horrible Balkan policy. I still hope for that. However, an obama-weakened America would also open the gates for Serbia to take back Kosovo.

Serbia would NOT need Russian help to utterly defeat the KLA thugs now in control of Kosovo. These Shiptar muslim savages are very “brave” when they are attacking unarmed civilians penned up in concentration camp-like enclaves. However, when they are up against a real military force, they will scurry like the cowardly rats they are for the Albanian border, and take all their scurvy collaborators with them!!!!

“Independent Kosovo” is NOT a country, NOT a democracy, and completely illegitimate!!!!

IMHO we attacked the wrong side. The more I read about it the sicker I get. Christians should protect Christians from murderous... no nice descriptives known.

I have no doubt that the Serbs could retake Kosovo easily. However, they may need Russian support to run interference with the UN and the EU.

It’s interesting, this whole thing started just as the internet was really getting popular. At the start of the war I was getting most of my news from the MSM and was totally against the Serbs and rooting for their destruction. After I got on the internet and started following this my whole perspective was changed and I realized just how wrong the US was in persecuting the Serbs and that it was really the Albanian/Kosvar Muslims that were the real bad guys. Just goes to show you how effective propaganda is, thanks God for the internet.

The US won’t be in Kosovo for much longer but NATO maybe and in particular the Germans who have been allies with the Albanians since WWII (and maybe even WWI). Don’t expect them to leave in peace anytime soon as they both have an ax to grind against the Serbs so even without the US I still don’t see Kosovo going back to Serbia any time soon.

Kosovo is like Rhoda in The Bad Seed. Short a deus ex machina scenario this parastatelet is incapable of reforming. Born a criminal and always a criminal.

Rhoda aka Kosovo killed all those nice people who thought she was so cute including her mother aka NATO/US.

Well, the only reason that Serbs were the bad guys is that the ‘brave international reporters’ that covered the breakup of Yugoslavia were all at the resort-town Sarajevo, not in the capital, Belgrade. They were too lazy to get different hotel rooms from the ones they had when they covered the Winter Olympics a few years before.

The insanity of the internationalist knows no boundary. The fact is Serbs were guilty before a single bullet was fired. Yugoslavia was falling apart when Germany was unified. One can see these geopolitical moves thousands of miles away. They are not that bright, but they have media and military might on their side. Their ego makes them sloppy and predictable.

It doesn't matter who is in office here in the United States, the EU or who runs NATO. There is a specific plan that Serbs did not fit into. The KLA was, is and always will be a terrorist organization, but that didn't bother our politicians because there was a bigger plan and they were simply a necessary evil means to an end.

Serbs needed to be dismantled because even Hitler knew Serbs were considered the Balkan watchdog. Germany made sure to full-fill his wish by training and arming the KLA. Before that Clinton trained and armed the terrorists in Bosnia with Iranian arms.

Truth is always the first victim in any conflict. I tell it like it is but cowards can't handle the truth so they ban me or black ball me because they have no facts, just a false faith. You can hide all you want but truth will find you.

Serbs did not have the capacity to keep up with the propaganda machine coming from Islam and their friends the West.

So what was the master plan? Dismantle Russian sphere of influence by any means necessary. The fact that a once Christian Kosovo is now Muslim doesn't even deserve a second thought because these internationalists only care about their own interests. Everything is expendable.

So, unless there is a serious revolution within the global power structure the Serbs will never see Kosovo as their own again. Even if Muslims bombed a thousand buildings. As long as Russia exists you can forget about Kosovo. Nothing personal you Serbs

"Well, the only reason that Serbs were the bad guys is that the ‘brave international reporters’ that covered the breakup of Yugoslavia were all at the resort-town Sarajevo, not in the capital, Belgrade"

A lot of reporters were so lazy that they never even left the Sarajevo Holiday Inn and instead relied on propaganda hand outs from the Izetbegovic government to write their stories.

Once Penny Marshall set up that shot of the tubercular guy with his shirt off while she stood inside a barbed wire enclosure (there is film online of the setup for that shot) and then ran it next to photos of inmates at Dachau and Auschwitz, it was all over -- the Serbs became the new "Nazis" and the reporters lapped up whatever sensationalist story the Izetbegovic government chose to tell them. The Serb voice was completely muzzled, because who listens to "Nazis"? Then came Srebrenica, which was the last PR nail in the coffin, as it was enshrined as "a genocide" before anyone could even research the context of what happened there -- and anyone who even asked relevant questions was termed "a genocide denier".

Even today -- in the US and Canada -- any speaker who questions ANYTHING about the hermetically sealed "Muslims were perfectly innocent and Serbs were perfectly evil", canned narrative of Srebrenica, gets intimidated and labeled a "genocide denier" by Bosnian Muslim groups here in the US and in Canada. Muslims write letters demanding that the speaker be muzzled and not allowed to speak at universities or on TV -- and those Muslims often get what they want from liberal academia.
