Jurors today shot down the DAs hunt for a Florida man, and acquitted him on a felony rap for coming into New York packing heat..........

You know, I really hate it when the media uses terms like "packing heat", but it looks like common sense got the better of the jury here. Hopefully a sign of better things to come.

The solution: don't talk to the cops. Ever. About anything.
There was no reason for the cops to know that pistol was in there. I bet he told them.
I have a lock box in my truck. Bolted to the frame. Anything in the lock box requires a warrant (per the Terry case). A person could put his pistol in there and drive through New York worry free.
