The U.S. Army psychiatrist who slaughtered 13 people on a Texas military base could face the death penalty as officials wrangle over his fate, it has emerged.

Major Nadal Hasan was said to have cried out 'Allahu akbar!' before he opened fire on troops and civilians, killing 13 and injuring 32 at Fort Hood in 2009. His fate now lies in the hands of brigade commander Col. Morgan Lamb, who is due to release a report in which he is expected to recommend a court martial.

Why the cigarette? Don’t you know that smoking endangers ones health? And what about the firing squad? Do you want to expose them to secondary smoke inhalation?

I'll be we'll be getting lawsuit after lawsuit when he's not cleaned up according to the requirements of halal.

That is, in the unlikely event that Obama doesn't pardon him on the way out.

"This treasonous bastard should be whipped and burned alive."

He should already be taking a dirt nap.

His blindfold should be defective and look like the Lone Rangers or Batman’s with the eye holes cut open so he could watch to guns fire at him and die a soulless death

Compare and contrast to LTC Lakin.

What the heck is there to "wrangle" about? Who is there that is MORE deserving of death?

Remember who is CIC- Barrak Hussein Obama - I am sure the heat is on these officers to walk very gingerly on the issue.
Between Obama and Eric Holder; the heat is on.

The guy murders 13 people and he might not face the death penalty? Makes you wonder what it would take, doesn't it?

My mind runs wild ...

A 2x poster of a Helen Thomas Face Shot for his Death Cell.

A last meal of Pork&Beans.

A firing squad loaded with pork-fat greased bullets,

A shroud made of pig skin.

(This would also work for those murdering Somali Pirates)

I don’t think so.
The Constitution’s Bill of Rights is surprisingly property-rights focused: over 60% of the 10 Amendments involve them. The fifth prohibits it because it would violate this portion: “nor be deprived of life, liberty, **or property, without due process of law**”

While I see what you’re getting at I believe it is more hurtful to try to circumvent the Constitution in the manner you suggest than you may realize. We have an obscene number of laws —and even more rules and regulations— which circumvent the Constitution, at *all* levels of governance. In my home state of New Mexico, for example, the State Constitution forbids laws abridging “the right of the Citizen to keep and bear arms for security and defense;” furthermore it constrains Counties and Municipalities from “regulating, **in any way**, an incident of the right to keep and bear arms.”

Yet, if you go to any County or City Courthouse you’ll see a “No Weapons” sign; when you inquire into the matter you get one of two answers 1) there is *NO* state law regarding weapons in the courtroom, or [the one offered by the security-guys] 2)”It’s the judge’s decision.” And so we have a clear example of a situation where the government is exceeding its legitimate authority... sadly this is NOT uncommon; but it’s even worse where there are Statutes or Ordinances which clearly violate the Constitution which are prosecuted anyway. (Like NMSA 30-7-2.4, which for all practical purposes makes it a crime for someone living on-campus to keep or bear firearms.)
