We arent done, but Ive got some good news for you.
The first phase of passing the Jaggi-Jennings Constitutional Carry through the Wyoming State House was accomplished this afternoon. House members agreed to move this common-sense legislation forward by a vote of 48 to 8.
Even though were definitely not done yet, and I know that I dont have to tell you that anything can happen in politics, this is still great news.
Because of your emails and phone calls, these House members have moved our bill past its first reading with an overwhelming majority.
Our next steps are the 2nd reading and final passage votes, which are expected later this week. While the results of the 1st reading vote are a great encouragement, were obviously not done yet.
Naturally, Ill keep you up to date as Constitutional Carry nears its final passage in the House, but I wanted to keep you informed as we get closer to final passage.

“Yesterday, Senate File 47, Wyomings permitless carry legislation, passed second reading in the House by a 48 to 8 vote, with four excused votes. SF 47 will immediately be considered on third and final reading tomorrow, February 25, on the House floor.
Sponsored by state Senator Kit Jennings (R-28), SF 47 is an important update to lawful carry in Wyoming. It would allow for the lawful carry of a concealed firearm without the burdensome requirement of acquiring a Wyoming carry permit. In Wyoming it is generally legal to carry a firearm openly as long as one is at least 18 years of age and not prohibited from possessing a firearm. The intent of this legislation is to give people the greatest possible freedom to choose the best method of carry for them, based on attire, gender, and/or physical attributes.”
With any luck Wyoming will be the fourth Constitutional Carry state within the next 30-90 days.

Let’s hope that Texas gets their act together and follows Wyoming. My CHL expires later this year, and I don’t want to pay another “fee.”
Just filled out he application on the Internet, no more classroom or range firing, and sent them $37.
It doesn't get much better than that.
Please send me the link/info. That would be wonderful, although the thought of a “fee” still sticks in my craw.
