While I am suspect of anyone with his bloodline, so far I like him a lot.
It’s about time that weak sister Pubbies have found their backbones and are now getting in the faces of the low life Democrats, labor unions, liberals, left-wingers and...most of all the failed, useless. empty suit, POTUS, Barack Hussein Obama!!! Do you folks have any idea how many millions of Americans lost their jobs, careers and futures because of greedy, criminal, political labor unions???
Just saw the clip. Letterman is one of the stupidest f*cks on tv or anywhere for that matter. I can’t believe people actually applaud his stupidity. He should be embarassed. He makes Forrest Gump look like a genius.
Acually, Letterman was quite civil. I was surprised. I still hate him.
I enjoyed the clip a lot. Thanks.
Rand Paul was charming, likable, unflappable, knowledgeable, articulate and a good ambassador for tax cuts.
talk about pearls before swine...
The guy sounds just like Lillian Rearden in Atlas Shrugged. He adheres not to reason or intellectual analysis, but to pure emotion. Paul must be "wrong" because Letterman feels like he's wrong.
Who knows, perhaps Letterman is intelligent enough to eventually come to recognize this fact about himself, and maybe he'll have enough self-respect to recognize his own defense mechanisms for the cognitively dissonant state he found himself in during this clip, and begin to abandon them.
Paul also could have touched on the fact that people vote with their feet, when speaking about onerous state tax rates. He could have pointed to the fact that for the first time in its history, CA didn't add population relative to the national population grown, and states like NY, NJ and MA (and other NE) states are loosing population (and tax base) because people are flooding to the Carolinas, GA and FL and other southern states because of the friendlier business laws and less onerous tax burden.
Other than that, I thought Paul was terrific - much more rational than his old man.
I stopped watching late-nite TV during the Clinton years. They all suck.
Leno often makes sense with his humor, Letterman does Jerry Lewis shtick.. because he is not bright..
Letterman admits that he (Dave) is retarded.
When Paul pointed out facts, ol' dave would respond, "There is something wrong with that, I just don't know what it is".
In other words, " Don't confuse me with facts".
The host is shockingly shallow. Paul did very well. He did not, however, speak of privatization of all schools. Maybe he thinks this too radical an idea and mentioning it would do more harm than good?
