There are a lot of legalists out there who are also African American or ‘black’. There are also a lot of moralists out there in the black communities. When they combine religious tradition with their morality or legalist perspective focused upon other men rather than upon God, they tend to become groups which call themselves a ‘black church’.

The term ‘black church’, though, is an oxymoron when describing Christian thinking, for there is no Jew nor Gentile in the Church Age amongst believers.

I totally agree. In fact, I only emphasized the term in the heading for the political nature of the article. With regard to the Christian faith, you are 100% correct - it's one body - the body of Christ.
