BLACK sheep are on the endangered species list as some children in north Queensland learn to sing Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep.
The English nursery rhyme may have survived for 200-plus years but political correctness could finally put it out to pasture.
Some schools in Britain have banned the song for being racist, but Pelicans Innisfail Child Care allows children to sing about black sheep or rainbow sheep.
Director Pam McLaughlin said some teachers sang the changed lyrics, and some children already knew the changes.
"We just go with whatever the children want," Ms McLaughlin said.
"The kids are just singing and having fun. Some sing black sheep, some sing rainbow sheep. It's just a song.
"We don't have anything that says, 'You have to sing it this way'."
The BBC reported in 2000 that Birmingham City Council had banned the song for being racist. It was later overturned after a backlash from parents.
The council said it had obtained the guidelines, which stated: "The history behind the rhyme is very negative and also very offensive to black people, due to the fact that the rhyme originates from slavery".

I guess the Lambs were an attempt to get ratings. Denise has apparently held up very well.
I have both seasons of DVDs and after a couple of years, I still haven’t opened up season 2.
One of my operations is doing mass PC and laptop swapouts in schools. Seeing some of the educators trying to do anything on PC invovling a smartboard is sometimes really funny.
I could wile away the hours
A Conferrin’ with the flowers
Consultin’ with the rain
And my head I’d be scratchin’
While my thoughts were busy hatchin’
If I only had a brain
I’d unravel any riddle
For any individ’le
In trouble or in pain
With the thoughts that i’d be thinkin’
I could be another Lincoln
If I only had a brain
I would not be just a nuffin’
My head all full of stuffin’
My heart all full of pain
I would dance and I’d be merry
Life would be a ding-a-derry
If I only had a brain

A beautiful airplane and a great squad. Even with their bravado, I bet they together made a lot of Japanese wet their pants.
And people are scared of the Taliban/AlQueda/Terrorists. These people we can fight. You can’t fight Liberal stupidity.
The History and Origins of Baa Baa Black Sheep Nursery Rhyme
The wool industry was critical to the country's economy from the Middle Ages until the nineteenth century so it is therefore not surprising that it is celebrated in the Baa Baa Black Sheep Nursery Rhyme. An historical connection for this rhyme has been suggested - a political satire said to refer to the Plantagenet King Edward I (the Master) and the the export tax imposed in Britain in 1275 in which the English Customs Statute authorised the king to collect a tax on all exports of wool in every port in the country.
But our further research indicates another possible connection of this Nursery rhyme to English history relating to King Edward II (1307-1327). The best wool in Europe was produced in England but the cloth workers from Flanders, Bruges and Lille were better skilled in the complex finishing trades such as dying and fulling (cleansing, shrinking, and thickening the cloth). King Edward II encouraged Flemmish weavers and cloth dyers to improve the quality of the final English products.
Some people are simply morons

Making my old man pants go crazy.
I don’t think that he was a saint either.
I also don’t think that he was the pope.
I think that he was a great man, a warrior, a hero, and a staunch defender of his beliefs and ideals.
Such people fought for the belief systems of Western Civilization.
The father of one of my best childhood friends, Ross Butterfield (hows that for a name) served under him.
The Book “God is my Co Pilot” was introduced to me by him.
"I'm dreaming of a snowy winter holiday season."
Of course that doesn't scan as well.
Oh. That's not inclusive. How about, "Baa baa black sheep..."
Oh. That's right. That's racist. How about, "Oh oh obama sheep..."
Oh! That's perfect! The loveliest sound in the world!
more like...
"Oh, no, obama sheep-dip..."
Absolutely ridiculous. People are insane. Outlawing the usage of an actual color? What’s more is that I guess they think they are being “sensitive” to black people yet when they make it a “bad” thing to use the word that describes the color of their skin they’re actually demonizing them instead!
