There’s actually a sound sociology for that. Muslim and particularly Arab women are always treated as 2nd class, subservient to men. Even boys are taught to be arrogant, looking down on their sisters and mother...consequently the boys are spoiled with attention and favoritism, and the girls tend to grow up quickly with a strong sense of responsibility (which their brothers lack).
This makes for surly, spoiled, immature and irresponsible men in adulthood—with the family being held together by the mother. (Not unlike that of inner-city America, actually, except that the father is not physically absent...). When this pathology runs its course angry shamefaced men perpetuate horrific “honor” killing, of family females they perceive “dis” them—which routinely occurs in all Arab, Iranian, and Pakistani states, and law enforcement usually ignores it...as it’s only women, after all... (under Sharia law charges of rape are practically impossible anyway too).
Should be a lesson to all of us—you dehumanize one (legitimate) part of society and at the same time even the privileged are dehumanized.
Relax, your biggest supplier is on your doorstep. Europe is screwed, though.

It’s not all that often that I find myself happy to have been corrected, but this is certainly one of them. I am however sorry to have been stating the wrong information.
I appreciate your comments. I must have mistaken a report addressing the largest oil exporting nations (by volume), as the nations exporting the most to us. WRONG!
At any rate, here is a link to the data on the nations we import the most oil from. Bahrain isn’t even on it, and Saudi Arabia is currently third, by a fairly decent spread.

Libya lacks means to use chemical arms-watchdog

LONDON Feb 27 (Reuters) - Libya retains 9.5 tonnes of deadly mustard gas but no longer has weapons to deliver it, a watchdog agency said on Sunday, amid international concern that embattled leader Muammar Gaddafi might resort to its use.
Michael Luhan, spokesman for the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), told Reuters the chemicals were under the army's control but were stored in a remote location far from the capital Tripoli, Gaddafi's main bastion.
"As far as we have been able to verify, and we have no information that indicates anything to the contrary, Libya destroyed the entire stockpile of its chemical weapons munitions -- a cache of several thousand aerial bombs that are designed for chemicals -- in early 2004, seven years ago," he said by telephone from the OPCW's base in The Hague. Luhan declined to say where the mustard gas was located but added: "It's nowhere near Tripoli, let's put it that way."
"It's kept in a location which is only for that purpose. It's a depot guarded by the military."

Well, we mark our weapons with colors and codes, I believe the soviets or whoever he gets them from, do also, yet those have no markings that are distinct or strike out, nor are they stored in any special manner to prevent leakage of the agent, they are basic storage boxes!

explains the color coding for the folks here best....now , after a ChiCom / Sino Soviet gunrunner etc sells and delivers to a third world shit hole... that dictatorship is no more obligated to stay with such markings yet never have seen em repaint their munitions. They may add stencils in their own language in addition, yet, I never saw any replaced 100% .
Mujahideen is just an Arabic word meaning a group which “does” jihad (from the Arabic root letters J, H, and D). It was a popular “title” to ascribe to the guerrillas who fought the Soviets in Afghanistan by journalists who picked it up and thought it was “special”.
