Rush did NOT attack Michelle for her weight.
He brought up the fact that she is a hypocrite, and she is, period.
Again, if she is going to sponsor her “Let’s Move” campaign, then she needs to lead by example.
There are innumerable pictures of her eating ice cream, hamburgers, french fries and so on..
and now this:

Lots of kids look up to her, and if she does not follow her own advice, where does that leave them?
I find it ironic and sad that someone who struggles with weight would turn around and attack Rush for his.
Good day.
Took a look at her Let’s Move page. It’s a lot of nice ideas, but no mention of the BMI — a very important measurement. Everyone should know what their best BMI is ...but NO ONE will stress this. People should also truly know how many calories it takes to maintain their weight, and how many it takes to lose. My magic number: 1200 cals/day as a woman to lose ...have lost 13 lbs since January ... so I’m pleased w/ that and am just plugging away at it. I have also shot for 30 mins a day at least ...on the treadmill.
I’m in a masters nursing program and am doing a research project on this. The government has been putting out info papers for years — this is nothing new. There’s nothing wrong with educating people. I think it takes a lot of education on just how calorie laden our food is ...and to make people understand how overweight they really are .... but you can’t force people. Just give them the info and they will either do it or they won’t ...it has to be a personal decision. It’s also within the realm of primary care docs ... THIS is who we should leave this to ...not MO.
