Bryant lawyer says race to blame for arrest

The attorney for ESPN senior writer Howard Bryant — who was arrested over the weekend for allegedly assaulting his estranged wife outside a pizza shop in front of their 6-year-old son — said the sports scribe was busted because he is black.

State police said Bryant, 42, put up a fight and struck a trooper with his elbow when they tried to arrest him after witnesses said he roughed up his wife outside a pizza shop shortly after noon Saturday in the small western Massachusetts town of Buckland.

So this lawyer is saying that a black man can beat the crap out of his wife in public and can’t get arrested for battery because to do so would be racist. Okay, I get it.

Several witnesses reported that Bryant was assaulting a woman and put his hands on the woman’s neck, pushed her into a parked vehicle and pinned her against it...

Law of the jungle from "da hood" takes over angry young black men and they just GOTTA assult some child or wife/girl friend, or some elderly person. They would never dare attack some guy who's 6'2" around 180-200 lbs. Law to Goodness, they might get hurt then!

Charges will be dropped -- it's racist, anyone can see that, file criminal assult charges against the arresting officer instead for civil rights violations.

I wonder if cops are part of that “oppressed minority” - we had a cop in Seattle shoot a homeless American Indian who was walking down the street whittling on a piece of wood. The cop told him to drop the knife, the guy turned around and then “bangbangbangbangbang” shot the guy five times in the chest. I’ve been trying to find the update about the cop; not sure but I think he was exonerated in instance and not in the other.

That’s true also. BTW, we didn’t have Native Americans until the Interior Department started classifying Americans. We all became hyphenated then, and, we’re the only country to do so. My American Indian friends like to be called by their tribe.
