I’m sure many of the bloggers were still infected with the “American Dream” that their writing would lead to greater visibility and be part of a career move — basically, they paying their dues, on their way to becoming another moneyed “talking head.” In which case they should feel honored to have worked for so an illustrious rag, that provided a vast audience and the potential a great public viewership. So things didn’t work out (no big career)... Oh well, become an arch conservative and extract bloody justice.
I read she was gaming the system by fiddling with their content and googles search algorithms. I wonder what AOL thinks about that? Nothing probably. You are likely correct and down the road Zsa-Zsa's little collection of scabbed web content and "original" content from her slave plantation is going to be worth a happy meal.

I have a book called “Economics Explained”. It was co-written by two or three economists. It has a section in which the author deeply and thoroughly kisses Marx’s @$$ as one of the greatest, most knowledgeable economists of all time (semi-direct quote “Due to his extensive study of the subject, he had such a deep understanding of economics that it is hard to comprehend”.) I quit reading the book after that sentence, since I knew that at least one of the authors had no real comprehension of economics.

They contracted to write for peanuts, they perceived a value for being in the blog. That she was able to get that kind of money for her blog is probably a combination of shrewd business acumen by her and a moronic decision by AOL.

Actually I think the author has a point.
If Zsa Zsa were a sincere, committed Liberal/Socialist, she would have gladly Shared the Wealth with everyone appearing on the HuffPo.
