Rush just announced that he'd had so much response to his remarks concerning Trump last week that The Donald would be on today in the second hour to answer questions.

That sure means there’s no hurry to get in the car and turn on the radio this morning. Trump’s an even bigger non-starter for the presidency than Guiliani was.

Rush WTF are you doing with that drop-my-pants-hey-look-at-me maroon? I thought Rush didn’t do an interview show? So who is next Pat Paulsen?

Agreed. I’ve been playing golf for almost 30 years. I love the game, but it’s not the reason I listen to him or talk radio, in general.

The Haney Project is zero interest to me, not being a golfer. I guess Rush wanted to make the point that he’s a good listener with that anecdote today.

But I am interested in hearing Trump because he is about the only one who’ll talk bluntly about our one-sided trade relationship with China and related matters. Somebody needs to shake-up the Republican campaign discussions because the probably candidates are definitely playing it safe with (avoiding) some of the more controversial issues.

So, what were 'his remarks'???

Last week Rush talked about Trump for a while and many listeners accused him of going soft on Trump, or that Trump was a buddy of Rush, or whatever, Rush caught a lot of flack via email for his remarks.

I don't recall much of what Rush said, but many listeners thought he was too easy on Trump. So Trump is coming on to clarify his positions on some issues, etc.

Yep, and I'd like to see Trump crack up, or crack open some of the controversial subjects that most candidates prefer to avoid: our one-sided trade with China, and illegal immigration and amnesty, etc.

I don't know if Trump will get in the Republican primary race, but I hope he does just to shake things up and see how much support his ideas would win over.

Pat Paulsen died from cancer, on April 24, 1997. His son, Monty Paulsen, IS running for ‘12 POTUS, “carrying the torch of his father, so to speak”, according to www.paulsen.com/pat

It would be helpful if Rush would play the phone call he got last week that started the whole “Trump” thing .

We've had far better candidates than Trump breach those subjects but the media chose to ignore them. Fortunately Trump is too much of a clown to ignore and unfortunately Trump is too much of a clown to ignore.

+1

The guy is a slimeball, but he has some good ideas that need to be brought to the table. I hope he gets in the race and stays relevant for long enough to have an impact, but eventually loses.

So who is next Pat Paulsen?

I think he’s dead. Maybe as dead as that thing on Trump’s head he calls “hair”.

Give Trump a chance. I like Trump. See what he has to say. His candor so far has been refreshing.

For now, I like what I hear, and from that epic motion picture, Starship Troopers, “You're it, until you're dead or I find someone better”

Trump keeps saying he’s a conservative Republican.

So why did ‘Republican’ Donald Trump Donate $50K to Democrat uber-liberal Rahm Emanuel’s mayoral campaign?

I'm sure he will. I love his whole Don Corleone bit--we're not respected.

Lately Trump has been saying that the Obama administration is incompetent, and I do enjoy hearing that.
