I do not think welfare was originally intended, by those supporting it, to destroy families.
And I don’t think many rank and file sheeperals today realize the damage that it has done.
But, like anything in a fallen world, (unions, for example), things initially intended for good will get corrupted by sinful man into policies of self serving and wickedness.
Absolutely. That’s a great yardstick, one that I like to use myself. It even applies to religion. Man, in his sinful nature, can and will screw anything up.
I don’t think most people give it much thought either, btw.
