Well if the candy and toys have lead in them silver could have toys and candy in it
LOL!!!!
If the US Mint was going to do that, they would import Mexican silver.
Chinese silver? Prolly silver plated pewter or lead.
I got in at roughly $14/oz for about my weight in the stuff, plus a large chunk of one 401K invested in SLV.
The dealer I go to a few miles away (old, established and reputable) has lots of bag silver and bars of various denominations in every time I stop by, and lots more back in the vaults: LOTS!
I say this as preface to my point: I find the claim that they can’t get the silver hard to swallow. Just how much of this stuff do they need to fulfill their obligation? Can they simply not afford it? Is something else going on that we don’t know about? Did they not plan ahead to lock in prices on the amounts they needed when so many were catching on about the trends? Just doesn’t make sense to me on the surface.
Yeah, it’s why I only do junk silver.
Well FR has plenty of idiots saying The Federal Reserve is like mom and apple pie. They live fiat currency.
Sadly a lot of naive people have no clue what is going on but they know that Fox News Al Waleed will save them.
>>Only if you know when to get out. Everything runs it’s cycle.<<
Sometimes you know it’s time to get out when the war is over and the boys start coming home.
Since WHEN do they use SILVER in US coins???
Oh, wait a minute! The US mint is NOT a mint of the United States! It makes fake and commerative “coins”. All is OK, then!
wonderful. I do believe we are going to be up sh!t creek soon.
The silver eagle coin is pure silver. It’s also a beautiful coin.
Yes, junk silver is the best, and easier to trade.
People that are oblivious to silver’s existence know a silver dollar when they see one.
Someone tell Helicopter Ben to go print more money so the Mint can buy some silver.....
Where does one buy junk silver?
There are lots of places.
Most recommend going to a local dealer. I haven’t done that yet. I should though.
This is where we have bought silver and gold:
http://www.buysilvernow.com/index.php
They are in Arizona. You call and place your order. They will wait for your check to arrive and clear. Then they will mail you your order. I haven’t used the others. Maybe you will get other posts.
But here are some others that I see often recommended:
http://www.gainesvillecoins.com/
You can buy old silver coins on Ebay for close to the Spot price -- sometimes below spot. The silver value of old coins can be calculated here:
http://www.coinflation.com/coins/silver_coin_calculator.html
You can buy privately minted bullion silver at $1 over spot from this private mint, with free shipping and no other fees:
http://bullion.nwtmint.com/silver.php
You can buy mint-sealed American Silver Eagles (bullion) for $2.70 over spot here, with free shipping and no other fees:
http://www.golddealer.com/
This article is misleading. The mint is still making “BULLION” coins. They stopped making only the numismatic “Uncirculated” coins, and this happened last year, I think. That is why it references 2010 coins.
Here is the original notice from the mint:
http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&categoryId=13738&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=10191&top_category=10191
They have “run out of blanks.” They are unable to acquire the silver they need to mint the coins. There is a silver squeeze going on and the “most reliable” supplier of silver numismatics can’t find enough silver to mint them.
THAT is the import of the article. Don’t be a silly quibbler..... or do, for all I care. Unctuous morons are all over the place babbling about silver being in a “bubble” since it was 17 dollars an ounce, fixated on the returns of the S & P and oblivious to the fact the stock market is denominated in a DYING CURRENCY. I am tempted to respond to them “you deserve what you are going to get” when bread costs 200 dollar a loaf or more, but that would be cruel and hateful. Instead, I will just ask them to please turn down FOX/CNBC so I can place another order with bullion direct without distractions.
