These ongoing costs plus the loss of a savings of $160 M by refinancing debt are making Wisconsin's budget problems worse because the runaway Dems are trying to nullify the last election.

Can these costs be assessed against the state lawmakers who went to Illinois or wherever?
Of course, no one will think of that. It will be the already overburdened taxpayers who will have to foot the bill.

BILL THE UNIONS!!!!!!!!!
Remember they wanted the koran burner to PAY for extra security for the whole town..

It would be a lot less if they didn’t have to depend on union workers for their security.

Surely you jest. Even the fines that the state Senate voted to assess against them for being gone will only come out of their per diems or their discretionary budgets.

This is a point that needs to be made over and over to the public - that the enforcement at the Capitol has been so shoddy because the Capitol police have put union ahead of their job duties to the taxpayers.

A lot of money for a group that is refusing to do their jobs. I am referring to the police.

What the hell for?
No arrests?
No escorts for members of the congress?
What for?

In addition to the obvious costs to the taxpayer, such as these law enforcement costs are other less obvious things. Many people are avoiding the area around the Capitol. Parking is limited. I know people have not even gone to the Kohl Center for games or gone to the symphony for concerts, even die-hard liberals.

Save the 5 million bucks, don't pay for the overtime. Let the security walk.

I suggest that the State hire an outside security firm, non-union, and NOT assign Union police, who just protect the protesters but WILL NOT EVICT THEIR UNION BRETHREN.
This is showing just how the Cabal (Unions) work their thuggery, and milk the taxpayers.

The money is going straight to the cops’ pensions. Their salaries will get jacked up this year because of overtime due to this nonsense.

Fire the a$$hole union cops. They’re not doing their jobs anyways.
