>>THIS Will die with a whimper in the House..

Not in this state. We are ruled by Democrats: entire CT Assembly (House and Senate) and by a Gov.

All FReepers, stay away from this stupid state. And my fellow CT FReepers, good luck getting out of Dodge.

It's about time for another tragic boating accident with those high-cap pistols.

What’s its chance of passage?

One would hope, but don’t bet on it. Just look at CA to see what the anti-gun lobby is capable of.

Something to do with "From my cold dead hands."

No idea, but it would likely be immediately challenged in court and waste everyone's time and money.

Turning thousands of previously law-abiding CT citizens into Class D felons - a real good use of a cash-strapped state's time and resources.

In this lib blue state, chances of passage quite good.

Malloy will sign it in a heartbeat if he can find enough time between raising taxes on everything and creating a toxic business environment.

According to the Connecticut General Assembly web site, there is to be a public hearing on 3/23. http://www.cga.ct.gov/asp/cgabillstatus/cgabillstatus.asp?selBillType=Bill&bill_num=1094&which_year=2011&SUBMIT1.x=0&SUBMIT1.y=0&SUBMIT1=Normal

I’ve sent emails to the combined judiciary committee members, but won’t be able to attend the hearing. I wonder if nobodys like me would be able to speak at the hearing or if the Dems have this so wrapped up.... :( Not happy about this at all.

Thanks for the link Wobby. Depending on the time, I might be able to speak - but what I have to say would likely get me tossed out, or worse.

Debating whether or not to bring a deer like Sir Robin of Locksley.

I spoke w/ the legislative aide of Senator Welch (R) who personally responded to my email stating that he was against the bill. She said, that even if I couldn’t make the hearing I should submit written testimony and I urge everyone else to do likewise. There’s a mailing address, but I hope to track down an email as well.

Forgot one more thing. She said her senator received hundreds of emails against and zero for this proposed legislation.
