POMPANO BEACH A Pompano Beach woman is in custody after she appeared on a surveillance video boarding a county school bus and slapping a child, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.
A video shot Feb. 23 shows Toccara Daniels, 27, boarding a bus near C. Robert Markham Elementary School and backhanding a 7-year-old boy. She said the boy had hit her 6-year-old daughter.

Adults who have issues with a child not their own need to take it up with the child’s parent.
This woman is dangerous.

The right of self defense does not begin at adulthood, nor does the right to defend another suddenly appear later in life.
Now, the boy was bigger than the girl, and with testosterone it is a fair bet he was stronger. The supposed authorities did nothing. The parent could, I suppose have armed her daughter, perhaps with a broom handle studded with nails so she could fight the little snot on even terms.
A child, however doesn't have the judgment of when to quit, There was a time before all the "My little angle never hurt nobody" He was turning his life around" He was in rehab and quit using drugs" parents started insisting that their violent little snots never get a consequence (and make no mistake, YOU are them) when there was civility in this country. People expected other adults to help keep their children from becoming thugs.

You don’t know the history. You have no clue what has come before this.
When my daughter was in kindergarten, one boy was an animal. He pushed a kid off the top of the slide to the blacktop and cut the web of another child’s hand, between the index finger and thumb with safety scissors.
The mom was single, gorgeous and stuck to a cellphone. She had every excuse in the book for her kid and felt very privileged in life. She had a “boys will be boys” attitude and the principle went along because of color differences.
Had that child hit my six-year-old, I would have slapped him too.
Stop being so obtuse!
