Sometimes the stuff politicians say in this town just blows my mind. Check out the video below of Interior Secretary Ken Salazar telling the House Natural Resources Committee a whopper earlier today.
Salazar claims oil production in the Gulf of Mexico has remained at "an all-time high" despite the Deepwater Horizon disaster and the federal moratorium and permatorium that have stopped all deepwater drilling activity, put thousands of people in Texas, Lousiana, Mississippi and Alabama out of work, and kept the region's energy economy mired in a deep recession.
But according to the Department of Energy's Energy Information Administration, Gulf oil production has dropped nearly 300,000 barrels per day since the Deepwater Horizon tragedy. Imports of foreign oil have not slowed as a result of the Middle East crisis, so it must be the Gulf slowdown that is forcing retailers to raise gas prices.
Did Salazar purposely misinform the House committee or does he just not know?
Lying under oath or just plain STUPID?
Even if you don’t know the truth, telling a lie under oath is perjury.

I was invested in natural gas drilling in the Gulf. My investment is worthless now.
After all Mexico and Cuba have been selling leases to China.
Just because we aren’t drilling there does not mean others are not.
Only Americans could be this stupid.
Somebody should slap these miscreants every time the tell a lie, but human hands just can’t take that kind of abuse.

Salazar is not stupid. He is a Commie tool of this administration, a liar from years back.
He is also in violation of a Federal judge’s order.
Did any of the folks on the panel remind him of that?

Salazar was a lair here in Colorado as the Attorney general. He was a racist in the first degree and a Communist.
Salazar was picked for the job because of just that.
At my local grocery store corn is $1/ear IN THE HUSK!
Telling lies is what they do. And accepting them is what the people do.
