SIMPSON COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A 29 year old Simpson County man was shot to death by his 26 year old wife Wednesday night.
It happened at a home at 316 Main Street in downtown Braxton.
Simpson County Sheriff Kenneth Lewis says he believes it was a case of self defense.
"It stemmed from just a fight between and man and a wife, and ah, the lady picked up a gun and shot him. And he had bounced her off the wall two or three times, her eye was black and she was bloody. And so she had just had enough or she was ready to stop it," said sheriff Lewis.
Lewis identified the victim as Carl Pittman of Braxton. 26 year old Brandi Pittman, his wife, was not facing charges Thursday.
A neighbor says there were some problems between the couple.
"She was having little problems and I said at one time you need to talk to somebody, maybe a pastor or somebody, she said no I think we can work it out. I think that is the sad part there, they think they can work it out and they can't they need somebody to help them," said Ruby Adams.
The Sheriff is awaiting an autopsy and continues to investigate the case.
A Simpson County grand jury will eventually determine the fate of Brandi Pittman.
Don’t marry a woman named Brandi, or Tiffani. I’m just sayin’...
“Dont marry a woman named Brandi, or Tiffani. Im just sayin...”
Bad record or expert knowledge on these names ?!? ;-)
Looks like a Burning Bed thing except she was able to remove all doubt by doing it during an especially brutal attack.
Unless she was pulling a “Kicking my own a$$!” thing like in Liar, Liar, self defense it is.
I have no problem with putting down “men” who beat on women. In most cases it is not difficult for a man to beat a woman to death so the use of an equalizer is acceptable.
