Perhaps when he was a child, MJ Rosenberg’s parents beat him with an Israeli flag, or maybe the first time he visited the Holy Land he was frightened by a lousy Elvis impersonator, or maybe an Israeli doctor unnecessarily removed his tonsils, just like President Obama said doctors do it all the time . The way he continually blasts Israel there must have been some horrible event in his childhood that caused the intense hatred he has for the Jewish State.

The question I have is, How does a person become so anti-Semitic after four years of AIPAC? If he was so anti-Semitic before, why did he work for AIPAC? If not, then he just snapped at some point.

The author is right: those rants don't look like reasoning or expression of opinions; he is seething with hate. What made him snap?

There is a level of virulent hatred towards the State of Israel as the State of Israel and not just another sort of Lebanon called maybe West Palestine that is very disturbing. Many of those in the forefront of detesting the ‘Zionist Entity’ are assimilated, secular. ‘progressive’ nonreligious Jews. Others are Gentile ‘progressive’ secular humanists. What drive the loathing for Israel in these people must be that Israel is the Nation of the Jews. The fact that others who live there and are citizens have full civil rights and those who live there and aren't citizens have almost the same rights as Israelis doesn't in the least reduce the level of hatred by these progressives and ex-Jews. At bottom is a hatred of a ethnic national state period. I suspect the same people loath the USA as much but there is just no issue such as the West Bank and the original issue of Arab expulsion during the 1948 war that these progressive types can hang their hat onto for the USA. Indian Removal was to long ago and Jim Crow was actually eliminated by legislative and judicial fiat within the lifespan of probably a plurality of Americans. Some of these people are honest enough to say that Israel should dissolve itself and most of the Jews there should immigrate to the US where their skills and intelligence would earn them a comfortable living. Progressives simply don't believe there is any reason for white Europeans to ever fight anyone for anything. So Israel is a really European state sat down in a third world region. It's very existence is an affront and it needs to liquidate itself and apologize profusely to the Arabs while doing so. That is the progressive bottom line.
