True Twit, Part 1: Is Rachel Maddow the New Face of MSNBC? A News Series Begins at NRB

Since Keith Olbermann threw his script at the camera and stomped off the set of MSNBC swearing and screaming, Rachel Maddow has been touted as the face of MSNBC. Howard Kurtz must have won some contest in hell because it appears he was forced to sit in on a planning meeting at “The Rachel Maddow Show” and then write about it. There’s nothing quite like lefty journalists writing slobbery love notes as “news” about other lefty journalists. (Although I use the term “journalist” lightly in Maddow’s case.)

It is part graduate seminar, part standup comedy, as Rachel Maddow challenges the 17 mostly female staffers on every suggestion for that night’s show.

I’m glad someone else noticed Maddow’s (sad) attempts at comedy. What’s puzzling is that MSNBC’s new poster girl seems to want to ape Jon Stewart more than she wants to be an actual newsperson. Maddow made a total fool out of herself with juvenile snickering when she and Anderson Cooper dubbed the Tea Party as “teabaggers” and then claimed that’s what the Tea Party called itself. She said the word “teabag” or “teabagging” at least 50 times during the following segment and could barely contain her mirth. The only thing I found funny about it was no straight person had ever heard of the obscure homosexual practice of “teabagging” until the likes of Maddow and Cooper brought it to our national attention. Thanks for that, by the way. We all now need brain bleach.

A face only a Mother could love.

A blind Mother.

I don’t watch MSNBC in the evenings any more. Too many angry middle aged white men on there: Christ Matthews, Lawrence O’Donnell, Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz.

I've never seen the show, but if her staffers are described as "mostly female", I don't want to.

If Madcow is PMSNBC, they aren’t long for the world. The sooner they fold their tent, the better. I do enjoy them being the laughing-stocks of cable “news”, however. They do generate a continual stream of work that displays the idiocy and hypocrisy and transparency of the socialist left.
